An Extraordinary "Second Half-Life" Starts With A Simple Financial Foundation

Free best-selling book reveals the 7 simple steps you can take now to get a plan in place so you can focus on the stuff that matters.

AS SEEN IN AND ON

Your success, strategies, and attitude towards money that got you here is not likely to get you where you want to go in your future distribution years of retirement.

This is a tough one to wrap our brains around.

It’s very uncomfortable to switch in a short period of time from risk, accumulating, saving, and delaying gratification to:

the spending and withdrawing so often necessary when we retire.

The best analogy I’ve found is mountain climbing.

The aggressive attacking mindset you must have to reach the peak is:

vastly different than the mindset required to get you safely back down the mountain, where 75% of accidents occur.

My goal is not just to help you navigate your way safely down the mountain but to joyfully ski down!

“Nothing will be more important (in retirement) than guaranteed lifetime income. A paycheck that you can’t outlive will be the best asset you own.”

-Tony Robbins

In over twenty years of crafting retirement plans that have survived two of the biggest market downturns in stock market history, it is my strong belief that the very foundation of a happy, secure, peaceful retirement is guaranteed lifetime income.

Social Security is a good start, but most of us need a second lifetime paycheck.

Too many are “playing the percentages” and hoping their money lasts.

Hope is not a strategy.

And failure is not an option when meeting basic needs for our lives.

Too many are “playing the percentages” and hoping their money lasts.

Hope is not a strategy.

And failure is not an option when meeting basic needs for our lives.

The math and science and research studies are very clear on the best approach:

Since most people fear running out of money more than death, why not just take that fear off the table completely?

A LIFETIME PAYCHECK.

THAT YOU CAN'T OUTLIVE.

THE BEST ASSET YOU'LL EVER OWN.

I’m also calling bs on the forty-year-old Wall Street myth of “buy and hold” investing for those in or close to retirement.

If we were all twenty-five years old again, I’d generally be OK with the Wall Street mantra for all investors:

“Be diversified”.

“You can’t time the market.”

“You have to stay invested at all times or you’ll miss out.”

Here’s the problem:
You’re getting closer to retirement and we’re now living in a “new normal” world with an extremely overvalued stock market at historic levels.

And what if the best economists and analysts are correct that the next ten years will look very different than the last ten years?

Are you confident your plan won't repeat the losses of 2000 and 2008?

In retirement, it’s crucial to understand that market corrections will always be with us.

They’re not some crazy “one-hundred-year event” that no one saw coming but a normal part of how markets function based on core human emotions of fear, greed, and ignorance.

As we head into retirement age it is more important than ever before to be proactive about positioning life savings for greatest returns possible with the least amount of risk.

If anyone tells you to just hang in there and “stay the course” because experiencing 100 percent of the downside is necessary; or says you can’t manage risk or just have to “ride things out”, just remember you don’t.

In fact you shouldn't, especially in retirement.
